Colors brighter, sun stronger
Sounds of the ocean, of motors, of wind
Clouds blinding, fluffy, mountains thick, green
Constant motion of waves over sand
Feelings of peace, of overwhelm, of beauty
Sweat dripping as proof that I’m here
The sky and the trees, the heat and the breeze
Skin touching wood, touching beach, touching air

Where does the time go
As anxiety crumbles, rolling through
The tracks of my mind
There’s no time like the present
Fleeting
Fading
Ever present, ever changing

What are you so scared of
Again with the trapped words, come on
The anger inside me boils up, wants to come out
It doesn’t. It sits there, stews, sloshes around
I swallow. It goes away.
