I can I know

figuring it out, one step at a time

Life Advice From Unlikely Sources:

Part 1

It’s not that it takes too much effort. It’s that it takes too much courage. I don’t have that amount on me. We always have options. Bend to your self-imposed constraints. Allow yourself to listen. Honor your pain. Be kind. Be harsh. Be terrible. Do what makes you comfortable. Do the opposite. Be so uncomfortable. If full sentences are too hard, don’t do them. Do what works. Ignore conventions. Don’t hurt people. Don’t hurt yourself. Be weird. If you can do it weirdly, do. If you’re gonna do it anyway, do it proudly. Proudly, as in don’t punish yourself. Write in short bursts. Listen to the birds, they aren’t always singing. Hear them when they are. Don’t care too much, it gets in the way. Care so much, because it’s important to you. Put so many things into a tiny space. Confuse people. It’s better that way. Can I do it better wrong? There is a formula for that. Nobody needs to understand. Some of the greatest things I’ve seen make no sense whatsoever. Hide the biggest ones in plain sight. Every once in a while, mess up the routine. Know your limits, but first, find them out. There is an unlimited number of ways things could have gone. Try something new. Not that. Do the things that aren’t fun. Don’t enjoy yourself all the time. Taste your food. You don’t have to stop procrastinating in order to stop procrastinating.
